2021 Theme:

Still Kingdom Building

Greetings John Wesley Faith Community,

To the faithful people who are the congregation known as John Wesley United Methodist Church whose building is at 3202 W. North Avenue in Baltimore City but whose life is shared with each other in many ways and known to God in our prayers for each other and for others everywhere.

What a Wonderfully Historic and Proud Day on yesterday to witness the First African American, and First Woman to be sworn in as Vice President of the United States of America.  So Thankful for the fresh wind blowing, a new direction and tone being set,  and all the possibilities that lie ahead for our country and our world under the leadership of President Joseph R. Bidden and Vice President Kamala D. Harris.

Let us pray for a peaceful beginning to the new administration.  Let us also pray that God will lead us to becoming a nation where we see each other as sisters and brothers to be loved and not as enemies to be feared and hated.

Be Safe so that you will stay well and keep others safe and well. Don’t let your guard down! Wear a mask. Wash your hands often. Keep social distancing.

Bible Study:

Who are we as the people of God? A new Bible study written by Bishop LaTrelle Miller Easterling and the Baltimore Washing Conference helps us explore who we are as the children of God.  “Who Are We As The People of God” starts by seeking fresh insights into the nature of God, examines our identities as enslaved people and continues with our journey through wilderness toward ongoing liberation of bondage and celebrating that freedom.
Join us for 6 weeks on Zoom beginning Wednesday evening, January 13, 2021 at 7 p.m. as we pray, affirm our faith, watch a short video, reflect and discover what it means to live out of the fulness of our identity in God.
The Participant's Guide has been sent  to all current attendees and elected leadership by e-mail earlier this week.  If you are new to the Bible Study or have not received the Guide as yet,  please contact the church office at  You may also download the Participant's Guide by going to
